Thavilapindi

Thavilapindi / Thoordhal upma

Rice – 3 cups (Make rice into granular form)

Thoordhal – 1 cup (thoor dhal to powder form)


  1. Heat in the frying pan with little oil kadugu, urdh dhal , red chillies 4 nos
  2. Add water ( volume water : rice 2 ½ or 2 depending on the quality of rice sothat it should not boil too much become like pongal)at the time of boil add salt ( ¾ tea spoon for 1 cup of rice) . add cococnut scrapings seeragam ¼ t spoon , pepper 5 nos ground to granular form. Then add both rice granules and thoordhal powder , mix well and keep stirring till
  3. U get consistency for upma . then cook in the cooker for 10 mins .
its ready ......
